Round One Results

The Sydney Kart Racing Club came into existence in the early 1970’s from the amalgamation of three existing clubs. These clubs were Camden ASI, Blacktown and Granville. The Granville club held its first race meeting on Sunday, November 5, 1961.

Over the years the club has conducted race meetings at various tracks such as Granville, Londonderry and since 1979 at its current location Oran Park. We believe our Oran Park circuit is well favoured by the drivers and is one of the best spectator tracks in New South Wales.

During the years at Oran Park the club has held many major race meetings including a round of the Oceania Championships, numerous Australia versus New Zealand meetings. The club last held a round of the New South Wales Sprint Kart Championships in 1998.

The Oran Park complex is readily accessible from the M5 the M7 and the M4.

From a track point of view we offer a 1060 metre circuit fully visible to all spectator areas. There are two Alfano Strips and a lap scorer’s box which can also serve as a timing centre. At its narrowest the circuit is 11 metres wide and the areas which are on the main racing circuit are 13 metres wide. Corner catch traps are to CAMS standards. The areas surrounding the track are at least 15 metres from the nearest fence.

For the PSC 2008 we will be offering the famous 'Horse shoe' track. This is the traditional Oran Park track that was used to great effect of many years.

For those that have not had a chance to race on this track, we will be offering practice on the weekend of 19th and 20th of January for $50 per day.
